Overview
What Nights does, how the command syntax works, and where to go next.
Nights ships 1,424 commands across 35 categories — moderation, antinuke, join-to-create voice, music, tickets, economy and more. These docs cover setup and the systems that need configuration; the full searchable list lives on the commands page.
Reading command syntax#
Every example in these docs uses the same notation. Angle brackets mark required arguments, square brackets mark optional ones, and neither is typed literally.
notation
,ban <member> [days] [reason],an ban on --do ban --threshold 3| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| <argument>required | required | Must be supplied. The command errors out without it. |
| [argument] | optional | May be omitted — Nights falls back to a sensible default. |
| --flag | modifier | Named modifier, usually paired with a value, as in --threshold 3. |
| , | prefix | The default server prefix. Change it with ,prefix set. |
Slash commands work too
Most commands are registered as both prefix and slash commands. Where a slash variant exists,
/ban behaves identically to ,ban — Discord just renders the argument prompts for you.Explore the docs#
